Stephen has spent the last 15 years in financial services and consulting. After graduating from Suffolk College in Business & Finance, he obtained the UK Regulator's benchmark qualifications in financial advisory and portfolio management. He commenced his career at a leading London based financial consultancy in 1994 where he assisted in product development and a nationwide expansion program, prior to the Company's acquisition by Warburg Pincus in 1998.

He then furthered his career within the Bank of New York Mellon Bank group, as an Investment Analyst. Stephen then was recruited to aid in the strategic development and business turn around for a UK satellite TV channel and a media & music services group. Following the successful turnaround he became European Operations Director for a private client, private equity group that focused on early stage Telecom and Energy technology firms.

Since 2009 Stephen has been exclusively involved in emerging markets, with a specific focus on M&A transactions in Latin America. Example transactions include the sale of a copper tailings plant that was held by a major UK hedge fund, the purchase and sale of cross border financial portfolios to a German public listed bank, and structured financing solutions for companies in the renewable energy, agriculture and oil & gas sectors.

In addition to his involvement in financial services, Stephen has undertaken charitable and political activities. In 1992 he helped to build a Summer School and Community Centre in a rural community in Jamaica. Furthermore, in 2006, as a member of the Conservative Party, Stephen ran for local office within London's largest Borough. Following a successful campaign, in which he won the highest number of votes, he served as an Elected Councilor. He was a member of the Local Economy Portfolio and Assistant Portfolio Holder in Public Protection & Safety.
